Evolution of High Performance Graphics Systems

چکیده
High perfonnance graphics system hardware has benefited from improvement in component technology and advances in architectural design over the last decade. lbis paper examines the limiting factors in system design and analyzes several current architectures in light of these limits. Future trends in component technology are discussed . along with possible effects on system architecture. Major themes of today which will greatly influence future systems include: parallelism, programmability, and integration.
